Joe Berg has thirty years of industry experience. With an emphasis on customer service and claims risk reduction in the fully-insured and self-funded markets, Joe leads the client strategy and compliance segments of our work. Through his knowledge and many carrier relationships, Joe achieves great results in the renewal process for fully-insured and self-funded stop loss products. A dedicated family man he is excited to work along-side his son, Ryan to make Berg Benefits the best benefits solution company in the Pacific Northwest.
Ryan Berg, CPA
Executive Benefits Advisor
Ryan Berg joined Berg Benefits in January, 2018. Since then his favorite part of being in the insurance industry have been leveraging his CPA background to develop innovative strategies to help clients. Ryan is a certified CPA, and holds a NAHU Advance Self-Funding Certification. In his free time Ryan enjoys many outdoor activities including snowboarding, golfing and sailing. When not in the office he spends his time at home with his wife Monica, and their daughter Amarah.
Kimberly joined the Berg Benefits team with over 20 years’ experience in finance, management and administration. She helps keep Berg Benefits a well-oiled, efficient machine. This dedication to efficiency helps enable all Berg Benefits Advisors to serve their clients better every day. Kimberly loves to take any opportunity she can get to escape to the ocean with her two dogs: Liberty & Leroy. When not at the ocean or spending time with the 17 members of her family you can find her in her garden.
Senior Benefits Advisor
Mary's 16 years of experience in the insurance industry helps cultivate Berg Benefits' reputation of having skilled and knowledgeable benefits advisors. Starting in 2003, Mary has had the opportunity to serve many clients and loves helping employees solve insurance-related issues through creative solutions that save money while still offering great benefits. Mary and her husband, Brad, enjoy spending their free time with their three grandchildren, and one VERY spoiled Scottish Terrier. Watch out on game day, as they are devoted "Hawks" fans, and never miss an opportunity to watch a game as a family.
Rose Gilsdorf, THRP
Rose joined Berg Benefits in June 2018. She earned her Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) Certification, and helps give Berg Benefits the privilege to serve local tribal governments and their enterprises. Before Berg Benefits she had the privilege of being an Account Manager with The Leavitt Group, and worked for Modern Woodmen of America. Rose is excited to marry her fiancé, Darin, in 2021 and spends her free time with her three busy teenaged children, reading or in her garden.
Lori joined the Berg Benefits team in October 2020 after being in the insurance industry for over 19 years. She brings years of experience helping clients understand their benefits and helping them communicate with insurance companies to fulfill their insurance needs. Her passion of advocating for client’s needs makes her a valuable part of the Berg Benefits team. In her spare time, she loves hiking, trail running, climbing, and practicing acrobatic tricks on an aerial rope with her daughter.
Robin's career began in human resources, and her talent for helping and managing people guided her to join the Berg Benefits team in 2018. Her background in HR, and certifications in project management give her a unique perspective where she can relate on a peer level with clients, and help them navigate the (sometimes) complicated benefits process. Robin currently supports Berg Benefits out of the Red Quote office in Gig Harbor as a licensed Life & Disability Account Manager. As a Pacific Northwest native, Robin and her husband Gary love everything about the Puget Sound with boating being their primary summer activity.
Tim joined the Berg Benefits' team in September 2020, and is excited to bring his experience from the banking industry to the insurance industry. His attention to customer service is second to none, and has a passion to help clients find peace of mind during troubling, or confusing benefits situations. He has the unique opportunity to help the COBRA clients at the Red Quote office in Gig Harbor. Tim is a self-taught musician, and loves to spend his free time with his wife and two boys. When he's not playing music, he also likes to spend his time playing tabletop roleplaying games.
Emily brings over 10 years of creative and marketing experience to Berg Benefits. She joined the team in June 2020, and has a passion to bring both Berg Benefits' and client's needs to life through creative media. New to the insurance industry, her experience as a marketing manager in other industries has given her a fresh perspective on the market, and strives to find unique ways to provide benefits solutions for clients. Emily and her husband Paul enjoy spending their free time with their dog Brutus, traveling, or volunteering at their local church. Her obsession with sci-fi and board games always means she's ready for a good time!
Community Outreach Coordinator
Grace is passionate about helping Berg Benefits create and maintain a culture of giving and serving. She has organized trips to work alongside the under-resourced throughout many countries and has also helped raise thousands of dollars in relief for organizations in need. Her passion for giving back has extended to multiple organizations including Eternal Anchor, Agros International, and Special Olympics. Outside of Berg Benefits she is a proud business owner and donates a portion of every sale to aiding orphans with disabilities.
